SKIN2CONFIDENCE Brings Korean Skin Science to the Philippines—Building Community Through Education, Beauty, and Shared Purpose
What began as a skincare masterclass has grown into something far deeper: a community built on learning, connection, friendship, and confidence.
Last February 7, Pretty Skin & Lamelin successfully held SKIN2CONFIDENCE: Where Skin Care Meets Makeup (Batch 2)—bringing together dermatologists, pharmacists, partners, influencers, and consumers for an immersive, education-led experience that blended Korean dermatologic science with real-life Filipino skin needs.
What started as a gathering to learn about skincare quietly transformed into something more meaningful. Conversations turned into friendships. Strangers became familiar faces. And a growing Skin2Confidence family began to take shape—united by one shared belief: confidence starts with understanding.

The event opened with a virtual message from Korea by Mr. Jung Bung Sub, Founder and CEO of Pretty Skin Lamelin Korea, who emphasized that Korean skincare has always been rooted in science, systems, discipline, and long-term skin health—not trends.

This was followed by welcome remarks from Mr. Jun Gamo, Co-Founder of Pretty Skin Lamelin Philippines, who shared how the brands’ mission is to thoughtfully adapt Korean dermatologic principles to Filipino realities—our tropical climate, daily makeup use, and common skin concerns.
Two founders.
Two countries.
One shared purpose: education before confidence.
Representing the Korea headquarters, Ms. Joo Hoang, Sales & Marketing Manager, together with Mr. JunLee Hyeob, Export Manager, provided a deeper look into the brands’ hero formulations—Lamelin 2% NMN & PDRN Line, the Pretty Skin B5 Line, and the Pretty Skin B3 Line—explaining how each supports skin repair, barrier strength, hydration, and long-term resilience, longevity and regeneration.

Medical education took center stage as Dr. Mara Capirosso addressed common skincare myths and reminded participants that skin is a living organ that responds daily to care, stress, and protection. This was complemented by board-certified dermatologist Dr. Finesse Evangelista, who shared her clinical insights on active intelligence, highlighting how ingredients work synergistically and why informed product choices matter more than ever in today’s crowded skincare landscape.
Learning then came alive through hands-on workshops.

Ms. Grace Lee, our Korean Certified SkinCare educator led a live Skin Care Demo using the Lamelin Camella Line, selected specifically for dry skin—demonstrating the importance of proper product matching, gentle layering, and listening to what the skin truly needs.

This was followed by a Makeup Workshop with Florence Vergara, professional make up artist who introduced the new arrivals of the Pretty Skin Makeup Line, showing how makeup can enhance—rather than compromise—skin health when applied on well-prepared skin.
Throughout the day, one message resonated clearly: skin care and makeup are not separate—they work as one continuous cycle.
During the event, Katrina Santos, Global Brand Ambassador of Pretty Skin & Lamelin, made a special appearance but had to leave midway due to health reasons. Before departing, she arranged product giveaways and store gift certificates for all participants as a token of appreciation, adding a thoughtful touch to the overall SKIN2CONFIDENCE experience.
Beyond the clinical discussions and product demonstrations, SKIN2CONFIDENCE fostered something equally powerful. Participants shared stories. Questions became conversations. A sense of belonging quietly emerged.

In her closing remarks, Cathy Andres-Gamo reflected on how what started as a simple masterclass has grown into something far bigger—built on curiosity, openness, and genuine connection.
“We are not here simply to introduce products,” she shared. “We are here to elevate standards, to educate, to build trust, and to walk this journey together.”
SKIN2CONFIDENCE is designed as a continuing masterclass series, created to build long-term skin education and community. Following Batch 1 held last January 14, the February 7 session marked Batch 2, with growing participation from healthcare professionals, partners, and consumers alike. The journey continues with Batch 3 scheduled on March 20.

Rather than a single event, SKIN2CONFIDENCE is evolving into a movement—where each batch deepens relationships, strengthens understanding of skin health, and nurtures a growing community bound by education, friendship, and shared purpose.
At its heart, SKIN2CONFIDENCE reflects Pretty Skin & Lamelin’s deeper promise:
Education before confidence
Science before trends
Community before commerce
From Korea to the Philippines, two founders now stand united by one shared purpose—to empower individuals through knowledge, nurture meaningful relationships, and build a future where skincare is guided by science and supported by community.
And as the Skin2Confidence family continues to grow, one message remains clear:
This is only the beginning.
