Lamelin Korea PH Launches the
Skin2Confidence Training Institute
Lamelin Korea PH marked a new kind of milestone on June 30, 2026, with the launch of the Skin2Confidence Training Institute in Las Piñas City. More than 60 guests from government, healthcare, education, business, and community organizations gathered for the occasion, drawn by an initiative that goes beyond skincare and into education, livelihood, and community empowerment.
More Than a Training Program
The Skin2Confidence Training Institute was built to give aspiring beauty professionals, unemployed individuals, out-of-school youth, single mothers, and career shifters practical skills, professional knowledge, and renewed confidence, the kind that can open doors to real livelihood opportunities. It combines science-based Korean beauty education with mentorship, scholarships, and hands-on training.
The launch also formalized a new partnership between Lamelin Korea PH and the Zonta Club of Las Piñas, bringing together the private sector and a civic organization around a shared commitment to education, women's empowerment, and community development.
Voices Behind the Launch
Congresswoman Julienne "Jamjam" Baronda travelled from Iloilo City to deliver one of the event's key messages, encouraging the institute's first scholars to keep going despite life's challenges and reminding them that confidence is built through resilience and continuous learning. She also sponsored prizes for the participants.
Representing Rotary International, Past District Governor Dr. Joyce Michelle Ambray spoke on service and education, and announced her intention to offer employment opportunities to standout Skin2Confidence graduates through her own dental and derma clinic, turning the institute's mission into an actual career pathway.
PSL Korea President Jung Bung Sub expressed his full confidence in the initiative, commending the local team for turning the company's vision into a meaningful social advocacy and reaffirming ongoing support as the program grows.
Dr. Maria Charito Indonto, President of the Zonta Club of Las Piñas, welcomed the partnership on behalf of her organization, citing the opportunity to invest in women, families, and communities through education.
The First Twelve Scholars
Twelve pioneering scholars formally joined the program at the launch, the first beneficiaries of what organizers envision as a growing scholarship movement. The event drew a wide mix of stakeholders beyond the stage as well, including dermatologists, aesthetic clinic owners, healthcare professionals, educators, local government and barangay officials, homeowners' association leaders, influencers, and community partners, several of whom expressed interest in future collaborations.
A Moment That Stayed With the Room
One of the most memorable moments of the afternoon came from the youngest members of the Lamelin Korea PH family. The 8-year-old grandson and 4-year-old granddaughter of founder Cathy Andres-Gamo each pledged to sponsor a scholar in the next training batch, a small gesture that drew warm applause and captured the spirit the institute hopes to build on.
Looking Ahead
Skin2Confidence positions beauty education as a pathway to confidence, employability, and community transformation, not just a product-focused initiative. With its founding batch of scholars now underway, the institute begins as both an educational platform and a growing movement, one built on the idea that lasting impact takes business, education, healthcare, and community working together.
Lamelin Korea PH brings Korean skincare innovation to the Philippines, with a focus on ingredient-led formulas backed by real research.
