i slept 8 hours and the guard still asked if i was puyat

i'm 23, i make before/after graphics for an aesthetic clinic, and my own face was not matching the feed. 6 weeks on NMN + rose PDRN. here's the whole thing.

ok so tuesday, 9:14am, i badge in at the clinic with my iced americano and a full 8 hours of sleep, a Full 8, and the guard looks up and goes “uy, puyat ka?” and returns to the logbook before i can present my evidence.

i slept, ate. i slept so well.

anyway.

context: i'm the creative for an aesthetic clinic in las piñas. i make the before/afters. i color-correct other people's glow for a living, i know exactly what “lit from within” looks like at 60% opacity, and meanwhile my actual face was giving… the left side of my own layout files.

(this is not a self-drag. my skin was fine. it was just tired-looking, all the time, independent of how tired i actually was.)

dull sa meetings. deadma sa highlighter. and every day around 3pm something in my face clocks out before i do, which felt rude considering i'm the one rendering reels until 1am.

the thing i learned at work, ironically

working at a clinic means you absorb things. and the thing our derma keeps saying is that aging doesn't start with wrinkles, it starts with resilience — how fast your skin repairs, how fast it bounces back after a brutal week. that slows down years before the first line shows up. in this heat, mas mabilis pa.

so i stopped asking “why would i do anti-aging at 23” and started asking a better question.

bakit ko pa hihintayin?

the research phase (there was a research phase)

i did the whole thing. watched the PDRN explainers at 2x, read ingredient breakdowns on my commute, had 5 tabs open comparing serums, asked our derma one (1) casual question that became a 20-minute lecture i did not regret.

and the shortlist kept collapsing into the same name. because every other serum i found was NMN or PDRN, pick one, and Lamelin runs both in the same bottle. because the concentrations are printed right on the product page — 10,000 ppm each — instead of hiding behind “proprietary complex,” and i write product copy for a living, i know what vague wording is covering for. because the supporting cast is niacinamide, adenosine, panthenol, centella — names i already see at the clinic every day. because it's a complete routine that ends in sunscreen, not one lonely serum doing overtime. and because it has an official, exclusive PH distributor, so walang mystery-seller-on-marketplace situation, which matters more than anyone admits.

this is the part where all 5 tabs agreed and i got to call it my decision.

two ingredients, that's the pitch. NMN — nicotinamide mononucleotide, the longevity-research one, supports your skin's cellular energy. PDRN — the repair and regeneration one everyone is suddenly obsessed with.

and before the gc asks: the PDRN in Lamelin is not from salmon. it's sodium DNA from Damask rose. a flower. which technically makes it vegan PDRN, if that's a sentence. 10,000 ppm of each, in the serum and in the cream.

this isn't about looking younger today. it's skin that can keep up with you next year.

the routine, gabi-gabi

  1. Gold Snail Cleansing Foamcleanses without that tight feeling after.
  2. Calming Tonerlight, not sticky. prep before the serum.
  3. 2% Miracle NMN + PDRN Biotox Serumthe main character. 10,000 ppm NMN + 10,000 ppm rose PDRN for elasticity, firmness, cell renewal.
  4. B-tox Eye Serumroll-on, cold on the eye area. for fine lines and the perpetually-unslept look.
  5. 2% Miracle NMN + PDRN Biotox Creamseals everything in. wrinkle care and brightening in one jar.
  6. Air Fit Watery Sun Creammornings. skip this and last night was for nothing.

(all six are in routine 3a if scrolling is not your thing today.)

six weeks

week 1

nothing. i'm telling you now so you're not scrolling for a plot twist.

what i did get: my face stopped feeling tight after washing, and the eye roll-on is cold, which at 6am is basically a personality trait. 30 seconds of peace before the content calendar opens.

fine. we continue.

weeks 2–4

week 3, wednesday. i rendered reels until 1am the night before, walked in with the same americano, and our aesthetician looks at me and goes “ang fresh mo today ah, nag-leave ka?”

no. i rendered. but i said thank you and walked away at a normal speed.

the 3pm face-shutdown? hindi na dumadating. and my concealer stopped collecting in the dry patch situation on my nose, which i noticed because i zoom into faces professionally.

weeks 5–6

beach weekend sa batangas with the gc. 2 nights, one full day under actual sun, the kind of trip that usually costs me a week of sandpaper texture.

this time, wala.

so that's the resilience thing pala. not glow. skin that doesn't file a complaint every time you live your life.

week 1 · comfort, zero drama week 3 · “ang fresh mo” era week 6 · beach-proof

honest verdict

not overnight. no purging, no peeling, no character arc. what happened is quieter — i look okay even when the week isn't, and the wrinkle-prevention part is basically a bonus i'm collecting early.

i think i just wanted to look like i sleep. not younger, not glass skin. just rested. that's the entire thing i was buying.

anyway. the whole thing is one bundle na — routine 3a — so you can skip the 5-tabs phase entirely.

questions i keep getting

you're 23. isn't it too early?

if anti-aging means erasing wrinkles, then yes, way too early. but this is resilience work — the repair and renewal that starts slowing in your mid-20s, faster pa in our climate. easier to support now than to chase later.

is this the salmon DNA thing on my fyp?

same class of ingredient, different source. Lamelin's PDRN is sodium DNA from Damask rose. a flower, hindi isda.

why not just start retinol?

retinol speeds up cell turnover. effective, pero heavy on the barrier, and most people our age don't need it yet. this strengthens and repairs first. when you're ready for corrective, there's a retinol + bakuchiol protocol for that.

when do results show?

comfort and hydration in week 1. the “ang fresh mo ah” comments came around weeks 2–4 for me. firmness and resilience are the slowest — give it 6 weeks and up, consistently.

one tester's personal experience; individual results vary. patch test before use. daily sunscreen is still required. Lamelin's PDRN is plant-derived (sodium DNA from Damask rose).
